For the archived podcasts, the sound quality is definitely not as great as it is now, but the content is still current. Listen!

Podcast #2: What are some of the best webmaster support messageboards?

April 9, 2007

In this podcast I mention some of the best webmaster forums on the internet. I have seen hundreds of them! Of course, each messageboard will claim that they are the best, but I know which ones offer support for web designers including the rules by moderators.

Here is a list of some of the things I look for in a web design forum or messageboard?

  1. How knowledgable are the people offering the help?

  2. How often do people visit the board and offer their support.

  3. How nice is the variety they offer?

  4. Are they just language based, software based, or both?

  5. Does the messageboard offer support on the latest web technologies.

Those 5 questions are all I look for in choosing a messageboard for your web design needs.

Let’s face it; designing a web site is not difficult, but HOW you design a web site with all the option IS. You need all the help you can get. I have been designing web sites for over 10 years and I still look for help on these boards, but I also offer it. Yes. I am one of those support people too. You have to reciprocate on these forums.

So, in this podcast, please click here to listen to my 3 favorite web design messageboards and then if you need any help, use em.
